Thanksgiving
November 22, 2007
Today is one of my favorite days of the year. The food and hanging out with family and friends are great but having a day to just FOCUS on God’s grace, mercy and blessings on my life makes it special. Actually, I decided years ago to make Thanksgiving a daily ritual. The older one grows the more you realize the fragility of life. Most of us have many reasons to be thankful. Our words, action and life should reflect a spirit of thanksgiving. Not just in November but everday. I sent out a couple of reminders in my last mental snack regarding Thanksgiving and I want to share them with you today. 8 Thanksgiving Tips:
1. Do it verbally.
2. Do it privately.
3. Do it publicly.
4. Do it often.
5. Do it generously.
6. Do it thoughtfully.
7. Do it cheerfully.
8. Exude Gratitude Continuously.HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
Tailgating 225 Style
November 14, 2007
What a blast we had this past Saturday before the LSU football game! 225 Magazine hosted its first LSU tailgate party at Walk On’s under a huge tent. We had good music, lots of food and plenty of purple and gold attire. Our staff and their families were all invited, and the ones that made it had a blast. These pics are from the party and the best part is that, after it ended, we got to see LSU beat La. Tech 58-10!

Special night
November 14, 2007
Last week our executive management team and spouses took my partner and founder Rolfe McCollister of the Business Report out to a special dinner to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of our publication. The presentation and food were splendid but what made the night memorable was seeing Rolfe put on his new watch commemorating 25 years of excellence. We gave him a special framed edition of our Anniversary issue - he loved it! He has always been a visionary, and I’m proud to be doing the work journey together with him and some of our other talented executives, Kelly Hurtado and JR Ball. I really enjoy the publishing business, but what I love most about my job is the PEOPLE I work with everyday. They are some of the most creative, dedicated and talent people in the world. Here’s a group shot from that memorable evening.
